HURFOM: A military regiment consisting of about 200 troops fought with the local People’s Defense Force in Burnlaw village track, Tenasserim Township, Tenasserim Division, from September 4th to 9th, 2024. The military junta employed drone attacks that injured six residents.

35-year-old Ko Ba Htoo and his wife were walking to a rubber plantation to do some cleaning when Ko Ba Htoo stepped on a landmine.

HURFOM: Since September 1st, 2024, the telecommunication network has been cut off in villages in the Dawei Eastern Forest Area, Dawei Township, Tenasserim Division.
Since after the attempted coup, only the Atom (Telenor) operator is available in this area.
Telecommunication towers have to be run with gasoline generators due to the lack of electricity. However, the company’s staff have not come to refuel the generator since September 1st creating a telecommunication blackout from Wa Gone to Hein Dar villages.

HURFOM: On September 9th, 2024, the joint resistance forces had attacked the “Tan Da Dar” security gate of the military junta nearby Tha Pyay Ne village, Bilin Township, Mon State and there was a heavy battle between two groups.
A passenger truck was stuck in the battle and a 37-year-old passenger Daw K Thi Oo who was from Ye Township was shot and sustained an injury at her waist.

Since June, 2024, hospitals, clinics and pharmacy stores have experienced shortages, especially medicines needed for chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, heart and kidney diseases.

HURFOM: At about 8 pm on September 4th, 2024, the security forces stationed at the “Pan Taw” security gate in Tha Yet Chaung Township, Tenasserim Division beat and arrested 30-year-old Ko Myoe Myint Nine.
Ko Myoe Myint Nine is from Tha Yet Hna Kwa village. He was stopped by security forces while traveling to Tha Yet Chaung Town. The forces claimed they found a lottery paper produced by the National Unity Government in the toolbox of his motorbike.
