Junta’s regiment torches houses in Min Pyin village for second time

HURFOM: Since early August, 2025, there have been heavy armed clashes between the junta’s army and the joint local revolutionary forces near Pa La Town and Min Pyin village, Pu Law Township, Tenasserim Division.
On September 28th, the junta’s regiment torched two houses in Min Pyin village and between October 4th and 8th, 11 houses were burnt to the ground for the second time.
“Four houses were burnt down on October 4th while seven were burnt down on October 6th. On October 8th, another house was burnt down and destroyed again,” said a local source.
At around noon on October 2nd, junta fighter jets dropped two bombs on Min Pyin village, exploding nearby the village monastery causing minor damage.
“The junta dropped bombs but there were no casualties. The monastery suffered minor damage. Then there was another confrontation in the evening,” said a local source.
The junta’s aerial and drone attacks have forced thousands of residents from Pa La Town, Min Pyin and nearby villages to flee their homes. As of October 9th, they are still unable to return.
The junta’s attacks have killed or injured at least 20 civilians including two monks and destroyed 40 houses.
