Three villagers arrested by KTLA found dead

HURFOM: On October 2nd, 2024, U Myint Nine and U Than Kywe from Myouk Yaw village, Dawei Township, Tenasserim Division hired 62-year-old motorbike taxi driver Saw Sanny Doe aka U Sanny to go to Pa Kar Ri village to buy some iron and lead.

While they were at a tea shop in Pa Kar Ri village, 24 troops from the Kawthulay Army (KTLA) who are stationed near Boat Pyin village, Dawei Township entered the tea shop and arrested them.

On October 8th, their dead bodies of the three men were found near the “Boat Pyin” security gate maintained by the KTLA, according to a local source.

HURFOM has previously reported that the KTLA had searched for the villagers.

They didn’t admit they killed them but their action has shown they’re the responsible ones,” said a resident from Pa Kar Ri village.

The KTLA has not released any statement related to the killing of the three villagers.

According to data collected by HURFOM, on December 17th and 18th, 2024, the “Sar Ka Saw” Brigade #2 of the KTLA arrested and killed three gold mine workers from Kyouk Lone Gyi village, Ka Lane Aung Township after accusing them of being informants for the military.
