Junta bans local villagers from going to plantation in R Yu Taung

HURFOM: The military junta has imposed a ban on travel to rubber plantations in R Yu Taung, Kwan Doon and Hnin Zone villages, Northern Ye Township, Mon State.  Local villagers reported to HURFOM that the ban has been in effect since the third week of October.

Weekly Analysis: Junta-Deployed Airstirke Target Civilians

HURFOM: In the target areas of the Human Rights Foundation of Monland, including Mon State, Karen State, and the Tanintharyi region, civilians are repeatedly under fire from escalating military junta attacks. The increasing brutality is evident in the continued inaction of the international community, which has failed to transform its response to the multiple crises in Burma into tangible actions that would hold the terrorist regime accountable.

During the last week, the junta deliberately set homes on fire, tortured civilians in custody, and fired at individuals and their villages. Airstrikes are also being conducted at an alarming rate, particularly in the Tanintharyi region, where violence has steadily escalated over the past several months.

Junta burns down ten houses in Pu Law

HURFOM: On November 3rd, 2024, the 285th Light Infantry Battalion engaged with the local People’s Defense Force near Kyaung Nate village, Pu Law Township, Tenasserim Division.

The regiment launched an artillery attack and then entered Kyaung Nate village, and burnt down ten houses.

Young man arrested in military operation, found dead within 5 days

HURFOM: On October 28th, 2024, the military junta launched an operation in Tha Yet Hna Kwa village, Tha Yet Chaung Township, Tenasserim Division. During the operation, 27-year-old Ko Htike from Yan Taung village was riding his motorbike when he encountered the regiment and was arrested.
