HURFOM: At about 7 pm on June 16th, 2024, the Maw Ka Nin based 106th Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) arrested U Phoe Tote.  He is in his 40s, and is from the 3rd Ward, Maw Ka Nin village, Ye Township, Mon State. The regiment accused him of having a connection with the Ye People’s Defense Force (YPDF).  An excessive number of troops were sent to arrest him at his home.

The junta has justified their actions by claiming that members of the People’s Defense Force were active around the village.
