On April 10, after clashes occurred near the Customs Office in Kyetsarpyin Ward, Dawei Town, the junta began mobilizing towards Launglon Township. Early the following day, at around 5:30 a.m. on April 11, junta troops began marching toward Min Yet village.

On April 10, clashes broke out near the Myanmar Customs Department in Kyatsarpyin Ward, Dawei town. Following the fighting, junta troops began mobilizing and moving towards Launglon Township.

Junta Forces Arbitrarily Detain 20 Civilians and Force Them to Serve as Porters in Yebyu Township

On the morning of April 7, junta troops operating near Zardee Village Tract, Yebyu Township, Tanintharyi Region, arbitrarily detained around 20 local men from Phar Chaung Inn village and forced them to serve as porters, according to local sources.

The military column, estimated to be about 100 soldiers, arrived in Phar Chaung Inn at approximately 7:50 AM after advancing from the direction of Zardee village. On arrival, they began detaining men they encountered in the area and forced them to carry military equipment.

Nearly 1,000 Junta Troops Deployed Near Dawei SEZ; Villagers Forced to Flee Amid Escalating Conflict

In Yebyu Township, Dawei District of Tanintharyi Region, local sources report that nearly 1,000 junta troops have been deployed around villages near the Dawei Special Economic Zone (SEZ), forcing many residents to flee their homes in fear of clashes.

Since March 29, over 500 troops have entered Mudoo village, which is situated close to the SEZ. Another group of approximately 100 troops has also been stationed near Maungmagan. Residents in the area have reported the presence of two separate military columns in Mudoo, and many have already fled for their safety.

On March 31, another wave of troops entered the Zar Dee village tract. Local villagers from Zar Dee, Khaung Pyan, and Deik Takaw villages encountered around 400 junta soldiers. At least 12 women and elderly people who remained in the villages were reportedly arrested.

Junta arrests unlicensed motorbikes and extorts owners in Mawlamyine

HURFOM: In Mawlamyine, Mon State, the joint teams of junta’s traffic police and police forces have been conducting “stop and check” of motorbikes at the entrance and exist of the Capital of the Mon State. If the team finds an unlicensed motorbike, the owner is extorted at least 30,000 MMK. Some owners are extorted up to hundreds thousand MMK. If the owners fail to pay the ransom, their motorbikes are seized and they are ordered to go to the court.
