Woman killed and villager injured by artillery attacks in Bilin

HURFOM: At approximately noon on July 23rd, 2025, an armed clash took place between the military junta and the resistance armed forces in front of the “Ah Luu” Plywood Factory in Bilin Township, Mon State. The 44th Light Infantry Command also launched indiscriminate artillery attacks on Ah Luu Lay village.
Artillery shell explosions killed 20-year-old Ma Noe Noe when debris struck her in the abdomen. Another unidentified villager was injured at the same time.

“Armed clashes frequently break out here. After every clash, the junta launches indiscriminate artillery attacks targeting residential areas. This time, the artillery shells dropped and exploded in the eastern Ah Luu Lay village and a woman was killed by the artillery debris,” said a resident from Bilin Town.
The military junta frequently battles with the resistance forces in Ah Luu Lay village and both sides usually use artillery attack during the clashes.
“We do not know if there was damage to houses or not,” continued the source.
On June 11th, the military junta also targeted Ah Luu Lay village with indiscriminate artillery attacks killing a local man and injuring four villagers.
