HURFOM: Since April 14th, 2025, there has been an intense battle near Kyone Doe Town, Kaw Ka Rate Township, Karen State, and thousands of residents have had to flee their homes.
The displaced villagers are worried that their abandoned houses will be burgled by the junta’s troops and the troops will steal their valuable belongings.

“The villagers are leaving the villages. They can bring their belongings, which can be carried easily. The belongings that are difficult to carry are left behind. Every valuable thing left behind was stolen in Dhammasa and Kaw Bane when local villagers were fleeing. We’re worrying that we’ll have a similar experience,” said a resident.
The armed clash is still intense as of today, and at least 15 residents were killed while another 30 were injured.
More than 1,500 residents from Kaw Kyike, Kaw Khite, Kan Ne, Tha Yet Taw, Da Dar Oo, Kaw Bot, and nearby villages have had to flee their homes, and some residents are stuck in Kaw Ka Rate Town.
