Junta’s airstrike injures three Kyike Hto villagers

HURFOM: In the morning of October 17th, 2025, despite no active armed clashes in the nearby area, the military junta bombed Kyauk Phyar and Nat Sin villages, Kyike Hto Township, Mon Sate injuring three villagers.

The junta’s fighter jet dropped two bombs, and one exploded near a house in the center of Kyauk Phyar village. The explosion injured two local men and a woman.

The women’s injuries are serious. The two men sustained minor injuries to their head and chest. The woman was admitted to the hospital. A house was also destroyed,” said a local source.

Another bomb exploded west of the village and there were no casualties or damage.

On August 9th, the junta dropped bombs on Pane Nell Gone village, Kyike Hto Township killing a villager and injuring four. Five houses, three family vans and three motorbikes were damaged.

On October 9th, the junta again dropped bombs on Pyin Ma Pin Sake village, Bilin Township killing five students and injuring 12.

Local sources reported to HURFOM that the military junta has been escalating their “clearance operation” by launching airstrikes, artillery attacks. Residents say the military advance is part of their ‘sham election’ process.
