Two dead found on the same day beside Ye – Thanbyuzayat Highway Road

HURFOM: On March 17th, 2024, two dead bodies of persons thought to be killed were found beside the Ye – Thanbyuzayat Highway Road, Mon State on the same day, according to local emergency and rescue teams.

At 7:30 am on March 17th, a male body was found between Kyoe Tha Dar and San Pya villages, Ye Township. His hands were tied at the back and he had a cut wound on his neck, according to the Shwe Hin Thar Social and Rescue Team (Maw Ka Nin).

At about noon on the same day, another male body was found at the junta’s abandoned check-point nearby Kyoe Tha Dar village. He had a gunshot wound, according to the Lamine Social and Rescue Team. The victim had a mental illness and he stayed at the abandoned check-point.

Both deceased victims were about 50 years old and their identities have not been revealed yet. The dead bodies were sent to the mortuary in Lamine Hospital.
