Junta’s military advance forces thousands of residents to flee homes in Long Lone
November 13, 2025
HURFOM: On November 10th, 2025, a large junta regiment advanced into Nyin Maw village, Long Lone Township, Tenasserim Division. The military advance has forced nearly 1,500 villagers to flee their homes.
“There were about 50 troops. They came from Long Lone Town. They spent the night at the monastery in Nyin Maw. They’ve stationed themselves there. The whole village has fled since the regiment arrived,” said a Nyin Maw resident.

Since their arrival, the regiment has launched indiscriminate small and heavy weapon attacks targeting nearby areas.
After the office of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) in Long Lone Town was detonated and destroyed, the junta’s regiment has been making military advances into villages nearby Long Lone Town.
The regiment arrested travelers and villagers who use the Union Highway Road and has not released anyone yet.
The junta soldiers are also collecting voter lists from villages in Long Lone and Yebyu Township. Critics believe this is part of what is commonly referred to now as the junta’s sham election strategy.
