HURFOM: On November 9th, 2025, a junta’s regiment advanced into Tha Yet Chaug Township, Tenasserim Division forcing residents from eleven villages to flee in fear.

About 300 troops from the military bases in Tha Yet Chaung Town reached the “Win Wa Ta Dar” security gate on the Myeik – Dawei Road and then advanced into the lower Tha Yet Chaung Township.

The military advance forced thousands of residents from eleven villages including Min Dut, Tin Kyune, War Yit, Ka Myine, Ya Ngae, Kyat Kha Mout, Kywell Min Gone, Ka Nat Thi Ri and Ka Twelve villages to flee their homes.

Villagers from eleven villages have had to run away. Everyone took shelter at“Boat Taung”. We had to leave the village suddenly, we just had two or three things each and a small amount of food,” said a displaced woman.

She noted that displaced communities experience problems to gain access to safe shelter and food.

Some have to sleep beside the street or under trees, some sleep at the monastery. We have to share what we have,” continued the woman.

The regiment clashed with the local revolutionary forces on November 9th and later torched 42 houses in Chauk Chaung village and three houses in Thein Goen village.

On October 23rd, a battle broke out near La Ba village and after that armed clash, junta soldiers torched 39 houses in the village.
