HURFOM: On October 19th, 2025, a junta’s regiment consisting of more than 100 troops advanced into Kyauk Sin village, Long Lone Township, Tenasserim Division forcing more than 3,000 residents to flee from their community.
The regiment reached the village by navy units and then headed to Tha Bot Sake village.
On October 20th, the regiment began a “stop and check” measure on villagers from Tha Bot Sake and Kam Pa Ni resulting in some arrests.

The military advance forced residents from Kyauk Sin, Tha Bot Sake, Pyin Gyi, Ka Yin Gyi and Kam Pa Ni villages to flee from their homes.
“The regiment is stationed in our village. So, we dare not stay in the village and many have fled. No one returns home as of today,” said a local woman.
Villagers told HURFOM that they feel that the upcoming election is a ‘sham’ and that these recent advances are an attempt by the junta to get more and more territorial control.
