HURFOM: On February 15th, 2025, the military junta launched an air assault on Kor Hell village, Bilin Township, Mon State.  According to a statement released by the Karen National Union (Central), the junta’s attack injured five local villagers and destroyed nine houses. There were no armed clashes in the nearby area to justify the assault.

The junta’s military aircraft dropped two bombs on the village at about 11 pm.

The two residents who have serious injuries are receiving treatment in hospital. There has been no active armed clash during these days but nonetheless the junta frequently launches air attacks,” said a local villager.

According to local villagers, the junta has increasingly launched aerial, drone and artillery attacks to nearby areas after losing their “Mell Pa Lee” strategic military base to the Karen National Liberation Army.

On February 9th, 2025, the junta launched air assaults on Ta Gay Long village, Bilin Township and destroyed a monastery and 17 houses.
