Junta’ artillery attack kills villager and injures another in Pu Law

HURFOM: On February 14th, 2025, the junta’s indiscriminate artillery attacks killed a man and injured a woman from Shut Pone village, Pu Law Township, Tenasserim Division.
Two regiments stationed at a school in Pu Law village and in Pu Law Karn both launched indiscriminate artillery attacks on nearby areas at about 9 am.
One of the artillery shells exploded on a house in Shut Pone village, killing 40-year-old Ko Tha Gyan Oo at the spot and injuring a 50-year-old woman.

“Ko Tha Gyan Oo sustained serious injuries to his head. He died on the spot. The injured woman is his family member. Some neighbors were also hit by artillery debris,” said one villager.
On February 13th, an armed clash took place between the military junta and the joint resistance forces. The junta responded with indiscriminate artillery attacks targeting nearby areas, according to the spokesperson of the Myeik District Brigade #1.
“There have been clashes between the junta and the joint resistance forces in Pu Law Township recently. The junta has also been conducting aerial patrols and dropping bombs,” said a vice commander of the Pu Law People Defense Force.
On February 11th, the junta used drones to drop bombs on Za Yet Sake village, Pu Law Township. The attack destroyed and burnt down a house.
