Junta’s regiment burns down six houses in Kaw Thaung

HURFOM: On November 1st, 2024, an armed clash took place between the military junta and the local resistance forces at the “Gaw Ra” Stream nearby Sel Eain Zu village, Ma Leed One village tract, Kaw Thaung Township, Tenasserim Division.
After the battle, the junta burnt down houses and destroyed six out of 19 houses in Sel Eain Zu village.
“They suffered a lot in the battle. That’s why they entered the village and burnt down houses,” said a local villager.
At the moment, the military junta has scattered their troops over Ma Leed One and Kha Mount Gyi villages.
“Those who lost their houses in the fire are temporarily staying at the plantation. There have been more than 100 displaced villagers,” said a local source.
