Junta’s drone attack killed a child in Tenasserim Township

HURFOM: On October 2nd, 2024, the junta’s 306th artillery regiment used a drone to drop three bombs on Western Maw Tone village, Tenasserim Township, Tenasserim Division. The bombs exploded between the village school and a house.
There had been no armed clash in the area.
The explosion broke the skull of 6-year-old girl Ma Ju Y Le Yar and killed her, according to a local source.
“The girl was sleeping in the cradle. The bombs exploded between the school and her house and bomb debris hit her head. Her injury was severe and she died at 7 pm,” said a source close to her family.
The explosion also damaged the house and the school and injured three other children who were also in the house.
“Two bombs exploded between the house and the school. Another one exploded in a different place,” said a resident of Western Maw Ton.
In September, 2024, the junta’s drone attacks killed five civilians and injured another seven residents in Tenasserim Division.
