Daughter arrested by junta not released yet in Long Lone

HURFOM: On November 2, 2023, the military junta launched an operation that involved them entering West Tha Byar village, Long Lone Township, Tenasserim Division and arresting three family members.
The mother was released on November 3 and the father was released on November 5. However, their 16-year-old daughter is still detained.
“Her father was released. But he’s worrying about his daughter and he and his wife, after collecting some clothes, visited their daughter that evening,” said a source close to the family.
During the arrest, the junta’s soldiers tortured and kicked the family members with their military boots.
“When they saw soldiers entering the village, they ran into a cave to hide themselves. The soldiers said they heard gunshots coming from the cave. The soldiers beat them. The daughter dropped her phone into the well after seeing the soldiers. They took the phone out of the well and checked it. After that, they started beating them. The daughter was shouting and crying,” said a relative.
During the military operation, the regiment arrested as many as 10 villagers.
