HURFOM: On October 26, 2023, two men from Min Yat village, Long Lone Township, Tenasserim Division were arrested by the military junta.
About 50 troops entered Min Yat village via a jungle route and arrested 40-year-old Ko Aung Kyaw Soe and 17-year-old Ko Thar Thar, according to a local source.
“Ko Aung Kyaw Soe was arrested at his house. Ko Thar Thar was arrested in a hut on his farm. After arresting them, the junta left the village about noon,” said a Min Yat resident.
Ko Aung Soe used to be a driver for Ministers of the National League for Democracy Party (NLD) before the attempted coup.

“When arresting Ko Thar Thar, they found something on his phone. The junta tied Ko Aung Kyaw Soe’s hands behind his back and beat him,” said a local source.
Ever since the attempted coup, the junta has frequently launched military operations and artillery attacks targeting Min Yat village.
