HURFOM: On May 31st, 2025, an elderly man from Thit Toe Dough village, Yebyu Township, Tenasserim Division triggered a tripwire mine and died in the resulting explosion.
According to local sources, 60-year-old U Hla Kyi triggered the tripwire mine when he visited a plantation near the village.

The junta’s military regiments and the “Ba Htoo” Army have both been active in the area where the explosion occurred.
“The military has frequently launched operations in the area,” said a local source.
On May 25th, a 13-year-old child who was collecting seasonal vegetables and fruits in the hillside west of the 273rd Light Infantry Battalion, which is based in Kan Bauk, Yebyu Township stepped on a landmine and a leg.
