Junta bombing kills two villagers in Kyone Doe

HURFOM: According to local reports, on May 20th, 2025, the military junta dropped bombs on Lay Tie village, Kyone Doe Town, Kaw Ka Rate Township, Karen State killing two villagers.
The air assaults occurred without any active armed clash in the area. The first bomb hit the “Bot Die” School in An Kaung village, but there were no casualties.
The junta’s aircraft continued to drop bombs on Lay Tie village where a local man and woman were killed.
“The fighter jet was flying over the village at noon. The woman sustained a severe injury and died at the spot. The man lost his thigh and died of excessive bleeding,” said a local source.
The aircraft also dropped bombs on Ya Thay Gone village but there were no casualties.
On May 14th, 2025, junta aircraft dropped bombs on a small restaurant and a chain of shops at the “Daw Na Taung Kyaw” route, Kaw Ka Rate Township and that attack killed three residents and injured five villagers.
Locals reported to HURFOM that as of May 21st, military junta aircraft have been patrolling over the areas near Kaw Ka Rate and Kyone Doe Towns and alongside the Asia Highway Road.
