Junta’s troops arrest and kill fish pond owner in Kyike Hto

HURFOM: On April 4th, 2025, the junta’s troops arrested a fish pond owner who was doing fish farming nearby the village cemetery in Sout Pa Nuu village, Kyike Hto Township, Mon State and shot and killed him soon after the arrest.
The junta used excessive troops to arrest 50-year-old U Aung Kyaw Pine and they shot and killed him a few hours after the arrest, local villagers reported HURFOM.
“The army arrested him on April 4th. We don’t which battalion arrest him or where he was taken to. But we learned he was shot and killed in that morning,” said a villager.
Some villagers said the junta’s troops were informed that U Aung Kyaw Pine had connection with the resistance armed groups so they arrested him.
On April 2nd, 2025, a 20-year-old young man from Kyike Hto Township was shot and killed by two unknown gunmen.
