Air assaults injure four villagers from Ah Nan Kwin village

HURFOM: On February 18th, 2025, the military junta launched an air assault on Ta Nyin village which is located near Ah Nan Kwin village, Kyarinnseikyi Township, Karen State. The attack injured four villagers.
“The military aircraft dropped bombs and four villagers were injured. It’s lucky none of them were killed. The entire Ah Nan Kwin village has fled. There are frequent armed clashes. Both sides are attacking each other,” said a local source.
In early February, 2025, junta troops burnt down approximately 50 houses in Ah Nan Kwin village and launched artillery, drone and air attacks on nearby villages.
According to a report by the Committee for Internally Displaced Karen People (CIDKP), heavy battle is ongoing and the military tensions persist. The situation has forced 149,171 residents from villages alongside the Thanbyuzayat – Three Pagoda Pass Highway Road to flee the area.
