Junta’s artillery attack destroys six houses in Kyike Hto

HURFOM: On April 28th, 2024, the military junta, 310 artillery regiment based in Thane Za Yet Town, Kyike Hto township targeted the village of Kha Ywell, Mon State with indiscriminate artillery attacks.

 The artillery explosions destroyed six houses in Htin Tell Ward, Kha Ywell village.

The junta shot seven artillery shells from a paddy field behind the “Ah Htet Gway” Monastery “in Wall Township, Pegu Division. One of the houses was totally destroyed. They’ve intentionally launched the attack,” said a local source.

The junta also launched an artillery attack on Ta Gay Long village, Thaton Township and destroyed two schools and damaged some houses.

The junta also dropped two bombs with aircraft at noon. One of the bombs has remained unexploded,” said a Ta Gay Long resident.

The military junta has been patrolling the area controlled by the Karen National Union by military aircraft and is intentionally targeting the civilians living there.
