Unknown armed group arrests woman and later shoot her uncle

HURFOM: On August 4, 2023, a woman from Way De village, Long Lone Township, Tenasserim Division was arrested by an unknown armed group. Four days after the arrest, the group came to the village and shot her uncle.
The arrested victim is Ma War War and her uncle is 55-year-old U Win Nine.
“We don’t know why they came and shot him. U Win Nine has been admitted to hospital for emergency treatment,” said a local source.
The family members said they did not know which group arrested their niece, and also did not know about her current whereabouts.
