Five residents in Tenasserim injured by artillery attack

HURFOM: On July 3, 2023, the 306th artillery battalion based in Tenasserim Township launched more than 20 artillery attacks targeting nearby villages. The ordinance injured five residents from East Maw Ton village, Tenasserim Township.
“I’ve heard that an elderly woman who works in bridge construction was seriously injured. The others sustained injuries to their arms and legs,” said a local villager.
On July 1, Ma Moe Pyae Hlaning, a 10th grade student from Za Lon village, was seriously injured.
From July 1st to 3rd, 2023, more than 3,000 villagers from five villages fled from their homes due to artillery attacks and military operation of junta troops.
