HURFOM: On October 8th and 10th, 2025, the junta launched airstrikes on Htee Khee village, Dawei Eastern Forest area, Dawei Township, Tenasserim Division. The attacks destroyed more than 70 houses and forced more than 350 villagers to flee from their homes.
On October 8th, a junta FTC-2000G Y12 aircraft dropped more than 40 bombs on Htee Khee village.
Villagers reported to HURFOM that in the morning of October 10th, the junta again launched two airstrikes and machine gun attacks targeting the village.

“They dropped nearly 46 bombs within two days. Htee Khee village is occupied by the revolutionary forces and most residents have already fled. So, there were no casualties. The villagers fled to Thai territory. But at least 70 houses were destroyed by the airstrikes,” said a social worker who helps the displaced community.
HURFOM was informed that the Htee Khee villagers found shelter in Thai territory going back as far as May 9th, 2025 due to frequent armed clashes.
“Because armed clashes broke out before, most residents took shelter in Thai territory. They came back to check their houses when there was no armed clash. Now, the airstrike destroyed nearly the whole village. As so many houses were destroyed, villagers have not come back,” said a local source.
The Karen National Liberation Army and the People’s Defense Force have occupied five of the six military bases of the junta on the Thai – Burma border.
