HURFOM: On June 28th, 2024, the Mawrawaddy Navy Command arrested 29-year-old Ko Soe Pine, from Mi Kyaung Hlaung village, Yebyu Township, Tenasserim Division at his home.

Ko Soe Pine has not been released despite it being 15 days since his arrest. Family members have not been able to contact him.

He is a hunter so he has “hand-made” guns. All those items were seized. He has been detained at Mawrawaddy Navy Command for 15 days. No one has been able to have contact with him, his family members are worrying about him,” said a local source.

On June 19th, junta forces also arrested U Su Ngae, Ko Ka Yin and an unknown young man from Ward #1, Ka Lane Aung Town, Yebyu Township at their homes.

They have been under arrest for about 20 days. I believe it was related to a drug case but I’m not sure. The day after their arrest, a man from Ward #3 was also arrested by the junta but he was released on the same day,” said another local source.
