Fear grips villagers from military aircraft patrols

HURFOM: On May 3rd, 2024, resistance forces attacked a military base in the Kalar Gote Island, Lamine Sub-township, Ye Township, Mon State, and there was an intense battle between the two sides.
The military junta responded with both artillery and air assaults and damaged some houses in Ka Doe Sake village, Kaw Dut village track.
The military junta is now reinforcing their troop numbers using military trucks. And navy ships. The military aircrafts are flying patrols over nearby villages creating fear and worry.
“The situation is getting stable but the villagers are still frightened. The military aircraft are patrolling at night so they can’t sleep peacefully,” said a villager from Kaw Dut village track.
The military aircraft are patrolling Hnit Ka Yin, Kaw Dut, Da Min Sake, Tha Pyae Yaw Thit and Kar Sake villages near the Kalar Gote Island, in an attempt to locate members of the People’s Defense Forces.
The Mawrawaddy Navy Command based in the Kan Buak area, Yebyu Township has launched indiscriminate artillery attacks on ships and boats traveling in the nearby seas.
“Now, the elderly persons are sleeping at the monastery. The military base in the Kalar Gote Island has been launching artillery attacks on Ka Doe Sake village. We are prepared to run away,” said a woman from Kaw Dut village tract.
