Woman in Bokpyin Raped Repeatedly by Junta Soldiers After Arrest

HURFOM has confirmed another appalling case of sexual violence committed by Junta troops in Bokpyin Township, Myeik District, where a young woman was repeatedly raped after being arrested.
On September 20, soldiers from Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 358 forced two married women from Sakan Thar Village (locally known as Yae Bet Village), under Htawng Sone Ma Hek village tract, to accompany them as guides. The troops were camped nearby in Bodaw Village.

HURFOM field sources confirmed that 35 civilians from Kayin Lay Seik Village, Thaton Township, Mon State, remain in military custody after being forcibly taken by Junta troops on 28 September. Among those detained is a 13-year-old child and at least two women in their early fifties. Villagers reported that the group was abducted to be used as human shields at the frontlines.

HURFOM: On September 27th, 2025, a junta soldier (private class) raped a 75-year-old woman. The elderly was from Oak Tu village, Tha Yet Chaung Township, Tenasserim Division.
