Artillery attack kills one and injures two in Pu Law

HURFOM: On September 9, 2023, the military junta attacked with any provocation Latt Ku village, in Pu Law Township, Dawei District, Tenasserim Division.
The attack killed a man and injured two villagers including a child.
A military ship that anchored near the Kyork Kar village, and a military unit stationed near the village launched their attacks without cause, locals told HURFOM.
“Two artillery shells dropped and exploded near the Latt Ku high school and another exploded in Pyin Htein village. There were another two artillery explosions but I don’t know exactly where they landed,” said a local resident.
The explosions killed 23-year-old Latt Ku, and a 41-year-old woman and her 8-year-old son were injured.
In August, 2023, an artillery shell exploded in Latt Ku village killing an elderly woman and damaging three houses.
