Civilian vehicle attacked and two passengers sustain minor injuries

HURFOM: On August 24, 2023, a civilian vehicle leaving Thanbyuzayat and enroute to Ye, in Mon State was attacked, leaving a man and a woman with minor injuries.
“It isn’t a gunshot wound. They were injured by pieces of broken glass. It is a minor injury,” said the driver.
The two victims received treatment at Ye Town and were able to continue their journey to Myike Town, Tenasserim.
It is unknown who was responsible for the attack.
On August 16, 2023, a vehicle was also attacked near a gas station at the entrance of Hnit Ka Yin village, Ye Township and a woman sustained a chest injury.
