Junta arrests two young travelers in Bilin

HURFOM: On June 16th, 2025, junta troops dragged two young travelers out of an express bus and arrested them at the old tollgate in Bilin Township, Mon State.
The bus was traveling from Bilin Township to Thaton Township and the two young men are from Kaw Ka Dut village, Bilin Township.
Maung Aung Aung Oo and Maung Min Khant, both 18, travelled to Thaton Town to buy some items when they were arbitrarily arrested.

“Both are being detained at a military interrogation center in Bilin. The junta will force them to join the upcoming military training,” said a local source.
In the first week of June, 2025, the junta arrested more than 20 young men who were from the Irrawaddy Division and working in Bilin Township. Six from Bilin Township were also arrested and forced into military service.
