Three civilians sustain injuries from drone-bomb explosion in Bilin

HURFOM: On September 1, 2023, a bomb carried by a drone was dropped and exploded nearby Dough Yat village, Bilin Township, in Mon State.
Three civilians sustained minor injuries, according to the local rescue team.
While traveling along the Yangon-Mawlamyine Highway Road, a tricycle encountered the injured civilians near the entrance of the village.
“All of them were injured by pieces of a bomb shell. The bomb dropped (and exploded) near the tricycle. It was not a life-threatening situation,” said one villager.
The local rescue team sent the victims to the Bilin Township General Hospital.
Soon after the explosion, a military unit stationed at the “Shew Than Lwin” tollgate launched more than four artillery attacks targeting Dough Yat village, according to the locals.
