Burmese soldiers arrest villager and establish military stations in homes in Tenasserim

HURFOM: Since August 12, 2023, the junta has launched military operations in Tenasserim Township, and local people report that Burmese troops have been stationed themselves in local homes.
“Recently, there was a reshuffle in Tenasserim military command and it appears the newly appointed (commander) is trying to show his first moves/steps,” said a member of the revolutionary forces.
At least 80 troops are currently in Maw Tone, Ban La Mut, Hton Nwe and An Tar Pyin villages. They also arrested six villagers.
“Some of them were released but we still don’t know the whereabouts of two villagers,” said a local man.
Burmese soldiers arrested villagers from Eastern Maw Ton and launched an operation in West Maw Ton. Their actions led approximately 300 villagers to flee from their homes.
