Woman injured by the junta’s artillery attack in Kyike Hto

HURFOM: On August 13, 2023, fighting occurred between the military junta and the joint forces of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and the People’s Defense Force (PDF) at Kim Moon Chaung Police Station near the base of Kyike Htee Yoe Mount, Kyike Hto Township, Mon State.
About 30 Burmese troops were on duty at the Police Station. Both small and heavy weapons were used during the attack
The military launched their artillery at Kim Moon Chaung village injuring a 42-year-old woman. The victim, Daw Thi Dar, was sent to Thaton District General Hospital.
