Junta’s artillery attacks injure two boys in Pu Law

HURFOM: On August 9, 2023, the 285th Light Infantry Battalion based in Pu Law launched multiple artillery attacks targeting Hmaw Kyaung, Lat Ku, Mya Taung, Pe Tat, Zayat Sake, Ta Po, Pa Wut Kone and Kyaung Name villages, all located in Pu Law Township, Tenasserim Division.
The attack injured two 15-year-old boys.
“The two injured young boys were not staying in the same house. One artillery shell dropped and exploded beside the road and injured them,” said a local man.
Two houses from Lat Ku village were also destroyed due to the attacks.
This is not the first time these communities have been targeted, in July, 2023, junta forces reckless attacked and destroyed two fishing boats from Pe Tat village also located in Pu Law Township.
