Junta arrest man after accusing him of supporting PDF

A local man from Kyout Pone village, Kyike Hto Township, Mon State was arrested by the military junta at about 7 pm on June 12, 2023 after being accused of supporting the People’s Defense Forces (PDF).
The victim is Ko Kyaw Moe and he is 45 years old.
“Ko Kyaw Moe is selling goods in the village. The junta accused him of supporting PDF and arrested him. He might be arrested due to the informer,” said a Kyout Pone resident.
Ko Kyaw Moe’s hands were tied at his back and he was beaten by the soldiers. The locals said the junta would charge him under the Anti-Terrorist Act, locals told HURFOM.
On June 2, the junta accused a 37-year-old Ko Min Thu Aung of being a member of the PDF and arrested him in Kyike Hto Town.
