HURFOM: At approximately 7:30 pm on June 15, 2022, the military juntas security forces burnt down at least five houses in Ah Lae Su village, which is part of the Taung Pyouk village track, located in Tha Yet Chaung Township, Tenasserim Division.

Before burning down the houses, security forces removed all the  valuable belongings from the homes, a local source reported to HURFOM.

I heard gunshots last night. There were no armed clashes. It’s just random shooting from one side. I moved my belongings with a truck to Thel Chaung Gyi village, said a villager from Ah Lae Su village.

The military juntas security forces have bases in the Mya Nadi Mount in Taung Pyouk village track and they have been randomly shooting at  nearby villages with heavy weapons every day, according to local sources.

Attacks by the military junta have led to roughly  7,000 villagers from Tha Yet Chaung Township having to flee their homes. These internally displaced persons (IDP)  are in need of food and medicines, reported the  Taung Pyouk IDP Assistance Organization.
