Local man injured by junta’s artillery attack in Kyike Hto

HURFOM: On March 29th, 2025, there was an artillery attack from a house of “Pyu Saw Htee” member in Lat Pan village, Wall Township, Pegu Divison and the artillery shell dropped and exploded into Kha Ywelve village, Kyike Hto Township, Mon State.
The explosion severely injured 72-year-old local man U Kappalee at his right arm and his wound needed 16 stitches, according to a local source. U Kappalee has been receiving treatment in a liberated area.
“Our Kyike Hto Township has been attacked by both artillery and drone attacks from the 2nd light infantry battalion. Now, there are also artillery attacks from Pegu. Most of their attacks hit residential houses. We have to fear (artillery attacks) both day and night. We don’t know where to run away,” said a resident.
Since from January to March, 2025, the junta’s artillery attack killed two residents and injured other eight villagers in Kyike Hto Township.
