Junta launches constant air assaults in Tenasserim Township

HURFOM: From January to the third week of March, 2025, the military junta has been launching constant and frequent air assaults on villages in Tenasserim Township, Tenasserim Division.

According to local sources, on January 13th, the junta launched an air assault on Ta Ku village injuring five villagers and destroying three houses.

There were intense armed clashes in Htone Ma Khar and Thane Khun villages between February 3rd and the 5th, and the military junta launched air attacks during the battles.

On February 17th, the junta dropped bombs on Nyaung Pin Kwin village and destroyed and burnt down 35 houses.

On March 3rd, the junta used a fighter jet to drop four bombs on Kaw Taw village and the air assault injured three villagers including two children.

There was no recent active armed clash. They intentionally launched an air attack. They also dropped bombs on March 3rd and there have been aerial patrols every day. The situation isn’t good,” said one resident.

On March 15th, the junta launched air assaults on Thane Khun and Htone Ma Khar villages. The junta also cut off telecommunication networks during the attack.  HURFOM has been unable to get an update of casualties and damage.

Villagers reported to HURFOM that since early 2025, the military junta has been increasing air assaults to Tenasserim, Long Lone, Dawei, Myeik and Pu Law Townships of Tenasserim Division.
