HURFOM: From March 12th to 16th, 2025, junta’s troops were checking the household lists during a military operation in Phar Chaung village tract, Yebyu Township, Tenasserim Division leaving local villagers in fear.
About 100 junta’s troops advanced into Phar Chaung village via jungle routes from the east and the west of Taung Yin Inn village and stationed themselves in the two different places in the village. Then, they visited the residents’ houses and checked the household lists.

“They had a check for five days. They asked how many men were in the household list and matched the list with a conscription document. There was no arrest. The troops remain stationed in the village,” said a local resident.
The troops intimidated villagers forcing male villagers who had fled during the military operation to return to the village.
The military regiment left Phar Chaung village on March 16th.
“The military regiment advanced into the village and stationed themselves in the houses. The villagers were very frightened,” said another villager.
