Junta’s air assault injures four villagers including a child in Tha Yet Chaung

HURFOM: On March 3rd, 2025, the military junta launched an air assault on Win Ka Phaw village, Taung Pyauk village tract, located in Tha Yet Chaung Township, Tenasserim Division. There was no active armed clash in the area. The attack injured four villagers including a father and son.
“There was no active armed clash. They intentionally dropped the bombs. There was a closing ceremony at a school operated by the National Unity Government on that day. It was a sudden attack and we had no time to prepare. We had to run away,” said a Win Ka Phaw villager.
The bombs were dropped near residential houses, and the explosions injured a 60-year-old woman, a 50-year-old man, a 37-year-old father and a ten-year-old child, according to a member of the Taung Pyauk Support Team for Displaced Villagers.
The 50-year-old and 37-year-old men have serious injuries leaving them in a life-threatening condition. The attack also caused damage to nearby houses.
“The elderly one had a serious injury. There were many injuries on his arms and legs. The child had a small injury to his abdomen,” said a local villager.
Local revolutionary groups provided medical treatment to injured villagers.
