The junta is expected to allocate hundreds of millions of MMK for the anniversary festival and is extorting money from the local big business owners.

The members of the 150th anniversary of Thanbyuzayat Town organizing committee, including officials from particular government departments and ward Administrators have visited business owners and are extorting money from them.

The festival will include donating food to 150 monks; planting a memorial manuscript milestone; as well as organizing sports, festive and literature focused events.
