Local man shot and killed in Kyike Hto

HURFOM: In the morning of November 20th, 2024, 40-year-old U Chit Ko from War Dat Kwin village, Kyike Hto Township, Mon State was shot and killed at a rubber plantation located at the entrance of the village. According to the local reports, U Chit Ko was shot in the head.
“U Chit Ko operates a motorcycle repair shop. He has no connection with any group. He’s a peaceful man. We don’t know why he was killed,” said a War Dat Kwin villager.
The pro-military Telegram Channel reported that the Kyikehto Revolutionary Forces (KRF) recklessly shot and killed U Chit Ko.
“It isn’t our fault. We don’t even know who U Chit Ko is. The channel has intentionally spread misinformation to defame the revolutionary forces,” said an official from the KRF.
On October 4th, 2024, 54-year-old U San Oo from Myouk Pine Ward, Kyike Hto City, Mon State was also shot and killed by unknown gunmen on his way back home.
