Junta artillery attack kills woman in Tenasserim Township

HURFOM: On July 15th, 2024, the military junta targeted East Maw Tone village tract, Tenasserim Township, Tenasserim Division with indiscriminate artillery attacks that killed a local woman.
The 306th artillery regiment based in Maw Tone village was responsible for the attack. Artillery shells exploded in Kan Yoe Tan #2 village of East Maw Tone village tract.
42-year-old Daw Mee Ngae sustained fatal head, chest and arm injuries.
“She went to a funeral event of her acquaintance and took a rest at her father’s house in East Maw Tone village. That is where she was hit by the artillery shell and died,” said a local source.
On July 13th, the junta also dropped bombs on Thar Ra Phone and Pa Wa villages also located in Tenasserim Township injuring two villagers.
