Junta’s artillery attack kills villager and injures two in Kyike Hto

HURFOM: On June 25th, 2024, the 310th artillery regiment based in Thane Za Yet, Kyike Hto Township, Mon State had launched an indiscriminate artillery attack that killed a villager and injured two others in Kyike Hto. There were no active armed clashes in the area to provoke the attack.
The artillery explosion killed 20-year-old Ma Hla Ya Min and injured a 35-year-old man and a nine-year-old child.
“There are constant artillery attacks on the village today (June 27th). The entire village already fled. The injured two are getting treatment in the liberated area,” said a local source.
On June 14th, the indiscriminate artillery attack of the 310th regiment killed a 14-year-old girl and injured a one-year-old child.
Again, on June 21st, the 310th regiment targeted Kha Ywelve village with indiscriminate artillery attacks and injured an Abbot, a monk, a man and a woman. The attack also destroyed three houses.
The military junta’s military operations in Kyike Hto Township forced residents from ten villages to flee their homes.
