Junta’s artillery attack injures plantation worker in Maw Ka Nin

HURFOM: At about 4am on March 27th, 2024, the 317th Regiment Battalion launched indiscriminate artillery attacks near the Maw Ka Nin area; one of the artillery shell explosions injured a local woman.
The victim is a rubber plantation worker from Kone Paw Yaw Thit village and she is around 50 years old.
“She is a plantation worker so she had to wake up early to tap rubber plants. We heard the sound of a gunshot at about 4 am. Then, we learned that a female plantation worker was injured by the artillery explosion. But we don’t know the extent of her injuries,” said a Maw Ka Nin resident.
The injured victim was sent to the Lamine Hospital but later transferred to the Mawlamyine General Hospital due to the severity of her injuries.
The revolutionary forces have frequently attacked the Maw Ka Nin Police Station and the military junta has responded with indiscriminate multiple artillery attacks on nearby villages.
