Dead body with gunshot wound found in Tha Yet Chaung

HURFOM: On March 24rth, 2024, local residents found a body with a gunshot wound in Nyaung Zin village, Tha Yet Chaung Township, Tenasserim Division.
The body was of a middle-aged woman, and was found in a paddy field behind the railway station in Nyaung Zin village.
“No one knows who she is or where she came from and when she was killed. The body was already rotten/ decayed. The village charity group cremated her body on March 25,” said a local source.
The body had a gunshot wound in the thigh, a crack in the skull and cut wounds in the neck, according to local sources.
On March 21st, 2024, an unknown male dead body was found in the Dawei River.
