Woman injured in the “Chaung Taung Bridge” attack

HURFOM: In the morning of March 14th, 2024, the “Ye Ba Lue” revolutionary armed group attacked the military check-point at Chaung Taung Bridge in Ye Township, Mon State.
Two soldiers were killed and a 58-year-old woman from Chaung Taung village sustained a gunshot injury during the attack.
“It’s a coincidence that the woman crossed the bridge on her motorbike while the Ye Ba Lue group attacked the military gate,” said a Chaung Taung resident.
The woman sustained a gunshot wound to her leg and she has been sent to Ye General Hospital.
“The military junta usually limits their movements after an attack, but we’ve heard nothing this time,” said a Ye resident.
On March 10th, 2024, the Ye Ba Lue group announced that the armed clash could take place anywhere and anytime in Mon State so that the people must be careful with their movements.
